- Within a roughly 10 mile radius of Crowborough
- Only include businesses that have shared their sustainability practices on their websites
- Should we ask the businesses if they want to be included before we add them?
Tips to Eat Sustainably
This might help people make choices when food shopping. There are lots of resources on the Internet for example from the WWF and BBC Food.
Some of the things are:
- eat seasonally
- buy local fruit & vegetables
- eat less meat & dairy particularly red meat / or eat more plants
- reduce food waste (link to post on GTC website for our top tips)
- look for fish with the MSC label
- cut-out perishables shipped by air freight
- reduce the amount of processed food you buy
- look at the ingredients for things like unsustainable Palm Oil

Located just outside Mayfield on Newick Lane, Hen on the Gate at Clayton Organic Farm produces award winning organic eggs, which are available from the farm gate (honesty box) and also at selected shops around East Sussex. Organic wine is in production now, from vineyards planted from 2017 onwards, and will be available soon.

Horsegrove Farm is a 100-acre family farm in Rotherfield. They produce cuts of meat from their Dexter cattle, Wiltshire horn sheep and locally bred pigs. They sell at the farm Saturday mornings 11-1pm.
