Crowborough Crow Fest logo

This year Crowborough’s Summer Fair is being expanded into a free two-day festival.

CrowFest will take place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July at Goldsmiths Recreation Ground.

As well as incorporating many elements from the usual Summer Fair, such as the community stalls, in 2022 there will be a large stage where bands will perform throughout the day and into the evening. There will be outlets providing a variety of food and drink, an expanded kids’ play zone and entertainers in the arena.

We are also delighted Crowborough Town Council are providing a marquee, so that Green Transition Crowborough can organise an Eco Hub from 1pm until 6pm each day. The Eco Hub will be located inside the running track at Goldsmiths.

We are aiming to show people the changes they can make to embrace a more eco-friendly way of life to preserve the environment, cut down on waste and reduce their reliance on fossil fuels.

  • Solar Panels, Heat Pumps and Home Insulation
  • Electric Cars
  • Sustainable Living
  • Repair Café
  • Schools’ Eco Activities
  • Community Pantry

There will be information and practical advice on energy efficiency, home insulation and solar panels.

Representatives from the Community Orchard and Community Pantry will be there to talk to you about our initiatives to grow food together and share surplus food for free.

Some of the volunteers from our new Repair Café will be demonstrating how simple fixes can reduce the amount of stuff that gets thrown away.

You can get advice on how you can cut your energy bills by better insulating your home to reduce the amount of energy needed to keep warm in the winter.

There will be a programme of talks and presentations on each day (see below).

And if you have been thinking of getting an electric car, there will be some cars on show and owners will be on hand to talk to you about their experiences.

Our friends at Forest Row Energy and OVESCO will be joining us to tell us about their projects and explain how local communities can deliver renewable energy solutions.

You’ll also be able to jump onto a smoothie bike to make your own healthy fruit drink.

CrowFest is not to be missed (more info about the festival).

We look forward to meeting you in the Eco Hub and hearing about your experiences of Going Green.
